My First Totem Pole

I am still alive & still painting with watercolors. Watched a tv show the other day where they carved, painted & raised a totem pole. It inspired me to paint one. A lot easier & a lot of fun.

A Glimpse into my Studio

After my entries into the Twitter Art Exhibit did not get received in LA in time before the deadline I quit painting for the month of January.  Then I moved my studio from a cramped arctic entryway to the frontroom where I can see my kitchen.  Now I am back painting with watercolors again.

Pineapple Express Cake

In honor of the recent warm weather conditions [the man calls "the Pineapple Express" causing havoc to South Central drivers] I made this cake. 

I also might have spoken too soon about my laptop working.  Last night it wouldn't shut down so I had to take the battery out.  Up to its old evil tricks already.

At least the cake was everything I dreamed it would be!

Wasilla Sunrise

On a whim I hooked up my laptop & it worked!  Before I went online I immediately disabled Java.  So far so good.

Now I am able to take pictures & upload them again.  Took this one this morning.  Days are getting longer by about 6 minutes a day now.

Happy to be back on the road again so to speak!
