New Signs

New signs are posted all over Valdez town directing citizens in case of a tsunami. This sign is on the way to my house.

Its been a while since I posted a picture of Roxy. I took this pic last night about 11pm on our walk. It was still daylight out. Next Tuesday she goes to the groomer to get all foofoo'd up for the summer. I would have taken her in earlier but the groomer has been on vacation and now she's all booked up until then. Lots of foofoo dogs in this town.

Roxy of the North

My Nanooks got knocked out of the playoffs today and will be heading back home to Alaska Sunday. Thanks for a fun and exciting season and I'm looking forward to next year already!

I'm hanging in there and drinking lots of water with lemon. Seems dehydration can cause kidney stones. This past winter I'd been drinking more Pepsi, beer and coffee. Maybe one big glass of water a day and that isn't enough. No more Pepsi for me. I usually only have one cup of coffee in the morning. No more beer for a long while either. Getting these things is enough to make me want to change my ways.

Managed to get out and walk on this beautiful day. Roxy loved it. Doesn't this picture of her remind you of RinTinTin? It would if you are over fifty. And if you are over 50 drink lots of water so you don't get kidney stones.

woe is me

Another beautiful March day in Valdez. Too bad I'm too sick to go for a long walk. Figured out I've got Kidney Stones. A friend told me a couple of days ago she thought that was what it was. I was guessing MS and other debilitating life threatening afflictions. At least now I know I am going to live. I have not been to the doctor yet but after looking up the symptoms on the internet I'm damn sure thats whats going on with me.

It is very painful and I guess I'm not through the worst of it. waah!

Shoup Bay Trailhead

Thanks to the snowmachiners we have a packed trail that I can walk on without snowshoes. This was as far as I made it today. Tomorrow I will come better prepared and see how far we can go. Roxy is raring to go to the beach!
