Graveyard Blues

No photographs to share as its just getting light out when I go to bed & the sun is setting by the time I wake up. Pretty soon I will not see the light of day until next year.

Thank-you all for the encouraging words to keep painting! It brings light to my life to share my hopefully improving watercolor works.

I am having fun writing the next installment of "Tuka" which will be out on Fridays.

Cute Little Raider Fan

Took this pic last Sunday at the American Legion where I work as a cook. On Sundays we do a killer breakfast brunch for football fans. Then after breakfast I put out a big spread for the Texas Hold 'Em crowd. So far they like my cooking, only complaint is it isn't "enough". I'm learning fast how to cook for crowds. Don't want to lose this job! I enjoy it and I signed a year lease on my new apt. I've never been Head Cook before. I do all the ordering, shopping and menu planning. And take the flack if its not done right. Its fun though and I'm meeting new people in the big city. Oh, and GO PACKERS!!!

I am not available for work during lap swim time. So to do that and still make a living I'm cleaning houses.

Dock Work

The dock is completely closed to foot traffic while they are renovating. Its still a nice place to take a break and enjoy the view.

The Livingstone Daisies are about spent after that snow Friday and rain all weekend.

Windshield Time

Got a killer deal on the already sliced mushrooms so I got a bunch and dehydrated them. The watermelon, I didn't even look at the price, and bought it. It tasted wonderful. I like my watermelon with Johnny's Seasoning salt on it.
I started a new job when I got the truck. Part of my job is shopping! I get paid to shop. I'm in both grocery stores, both hardware stores and the second hand store almost daily. I also get paid to go to the post office every day. I'm a caregiver and chore worker for the ederly. I had to go get fingerprinted at the cop shop today. $20 bucks. Then another $120 for the internet background check. After all that I have to take a First Aid/CPR class this Sunday afternoon. I have weekends off but the class is at the Fire Dept instead of the college for a much cheaper price. Then I should be done paying to work.
Its fun though and I liked my first paycheck. I'm making more than I was at the college and I get a lot of windshield time. It was a "windshield wipers on" all day kind of day.
