Outside the Sully after the Governor's Cup in Oct 2007. UAA Seawolves stole the cup from my UAF Nanooks. My first live hockey games.

I can't post a picture of my friend Neders, my daughter Tor and a presidential running mate without posting a picture of me with my Nanook Hockey gear.

See the USA

Fun is the best thing to have.
One week countdown to Cold Ass Bay. Everything seems to be falling into place, not like Plan A, more like plan A, B & C combined with D.

Silvers running big time.

Big crane holding up the heavy gates for the welder.

For gates they look pretty nice with a nice fish design on them.

Good Fishing Stories

There’s nothing like a dip netting trip to Chitina to spice up a marriage

News-Miner outdoors editor Tim Mowry, left, and wife, Kristan Kelly, show off some of the fruits of their dip netting labor at Chitina in this photo taken by another dip-netter.

Worthington Glacier

This is what the Worthington Glacier looked like driving back from Anchorage Wed night. Check out the Gig Harbor Scene blog to compare what it used to look like when she lived up here. Worthington Glacier in 1952.

Nailed the Job!!

The interview went well and I was hired as the cook for a hunting lodge in Cold Bay for September and October. The owners live in a beautiful home on the upper hillside overlooking Anchorage. I drove up there to meet with them.
Thats Denali in the distance above the clouds in the picture on the left. The picture above is Cook Inlet and Anchorage.
Now I've got 2 weeks to get ready to go make some good money.
Thanks for all the good wishes!
And a big thanks to Craigslist jobs for hooking us up.

Salmonberries

Salmonberries are so cool looking as they are not always the the same color picked from the same bushes. Look how big one salmonberry is next to the dime for size. Flash frozen then bagged for later days.

Daisy Fish

The sun actually came out today for a bit and a few Livingstone Daisies came out to brighten things up a bit. This was a banner year here>>> Blooming Livingstone Daisies.
Won't be canning fish this year. Its okay, thats why I put cases up when I can. They are good for a few years. Not sure; haven't killed anybody yet.
