My First Totem Pole

I am still alive & still painting with watercolors. Watched a tv show the other day where they carved, painted & raised a totem pole. It inspired me to paint one. A lot easier & a lot of fun.

A Glimpse into my Studio

After my entries into the Twitter Art Exhibit did not get received in LA in time before the deadline I quit painting for the month of January.  Then I moved my studio from a cramped arctic entryway to the frontroom where I can see my kitchen.  Now I am back painting with watercolors again.

Words with Friends

My screen name is "ThatgirlKath" & I am addicted to Words with Friends. I have always been an avid Scrabble player & enjoy the game. Look me up if you want. Here are some samples of my work, I mean "play".

Pineapple Express Cake

In honor of the recent warm weather conditions [the man calls "the Pineapple Express" causing havoc to South Central drivers] I made this cake.

I also might have spoken too soon about my laptop working.  Last night it wouldn't shut down so I had to take the battery out.  Up to its old evil tricks already.

At least the cake was everything I dreamed it would be!

Wasilla Sunrise

On a whim I hooked up my laptop & it worked!  Before I went online I immediately disabled Java.  So far so good.

Now I am able to take pictures & upload them again.  Took this one this morning.  Days are getting longer by about 6 minutes a day now.

Happy to be back on the road again so to speak!

Kathy's Bitchin' Alaska Kitchen Mini

Look at the mini my sister made me for Christmas! Pictures from my phone do not do it justice. She is not only talented she knows me well. I am surprised, honored & will cherish my mini forever. Love you Niki!

What I like to do

12/12/12

With this one I used the Bob Ross contact paper trick. You cut the contact paper & place it on the paper with an oval shaped cut out. When finished with the painting you pull the contact paper off & woolah! Instant frame.

I'm calling this one 12/12/12 because it won't ever be 12/12/12 again!
