This is a house on Hanagita (not mine) and I went by and talked to the lady yesterday. As I got a closer look I could see the tree in front was made out of rebar. The tree in the back is alder.
her husband made the rebar tree for her and she said its a southern thing. The bottles are meant to ward off evil spirits.
I told her that her husband needs to make more and sell them!
