Trolley Song

One of my happy childhood memories growing up was "singing around mom playing the piano." Mom is from the era when you bought the sheet music to the latest hits. All the old songs like The Trolley Song from Meet Me in St. Louis were our favorites. We loved singing and pretended we were The Andrew Sisters. By now we would have been sharpening up on the Christmas music.

I've had The Trolley Song in my head all week.

For my 1st Christmas away from home, Mom & Jimmy made me a tape of Mom playing Christmas music. Over the years I've lost it. But this time of year all I have to do is close my eyes, and I can hear her play. It's just no one else can.

I made a long comment yesterday but it got lost!

We're playing xmas music right now and I'm thinking were can I put my piano?!? Right in the middle of the RV! My piano is so big and it takes up so much room but I love it! I'm pretty sure I'll get my xmas music out from under the RV soon and have Dave set it up. It's been awhile so I'll need a few hours of practice before I'm back to playing right.

I'm sorry you lost the tape Judy. We had so much fun making it!! That was back on Index Ave. We sold that house 14 years ago! My how time flys when you are having fun!!!

I'm getting the xmas spirit!
Did I ever tell you guys that I can sing pretty good since I quit smoking! Even my lungs are working better.

Hugs to all!
