Oysters are back!!!


I like to nuke mine just long enough to pop open the shell, cut the muscle, squirt with lemon & enjoy!

Got me 2 dozen.  1/2 doz down tonight.  YUM!  They make me feel so good.

Makes me miss the beach in Belfair, nothing better than throwing them on the grill over a fire, in the shell...tobasco, garlic, and Lea & Perrins

Many years ago I stayed in Homer several days and had a dozen decadent Kachemak Bay raw oysters on the half-shell every day for lunch. They were plump and so delicious!

I developed an intestinal disturbance the following week, and whether or not it was the oysters .. the good news was I lost 10-12 pounds that week.

Gosh I'll always remember those fabulous Kachemak Bay oysters ...

yum sister! i remember the way dad grilled them in belfair and i must be a wimp because i decided i like mine with just a squeeze of lemon.
