Off the Kenai
Beautiful drive off the Kenai Friday. All the fall colors with the torquoise Kenai river passing by. I was too much in a hurry to stop and take any pics. Lots of time to reflect on the wonderful summer I had fishing, meeting people from all over and basically loving my life in Alaska.
Having a couple coolers full of fish on board felt good, too.

I love Kenai Lake and those beautiful aquamarine waters. I don't think I ever really understood where the Kenai and Russian come together. I have a favorite photo of me and two girlfriends standing in front of the Russian at the Kenaitze Interpretative site, amongst all the moose droppings. It was such an awesome quiet place, all sound drowned out by the rushing stream ...
