SS Derby Update 2

When I checked the board about 5pm a #17. zero zero male silver salmon topped the chart. Boats were still coming in so no final yet on the daily prize fish size.

Valdez is an exciting place to live the month of August. As a year around resident I have lots of friends stop in from out of town. Today I met an "on line" friend for the first time. I knew him from an ALASKA NANOOK HOCKEY forum I frequent. It is nice to put a face to a name. He'll be down here the whole derby so I will see him again. Somebody to talk hockey with in Valdez. Priceless.
