New Alaska Quarter

The Alaska state quarter hasn't been released yet. It is scheduled for release in 2008. Right before Hawaii's state quarter which will be the last quarter in this series. Seems the U.S. Mint goes by when the state was admitted to the union.

Alaska was granted statehood on January 3rd, 1959. Hawaii was admitted August 21st, 1959.

The latest quarter released was the North Dakota quarter on August 26th, 2006. I'll be keeping a lookout for it.
